Lfg Cross server almost sinks my tanking

Obviously this isnt a podcast but it will be on the podcast . im hoping to get some feedback from others who have problems and how they are overcoming them

I generally dont mind PUGing , actually thats how hoe you meet new people and make new freinds .

However , I also often speak of manners and awesomeness . As it was in short supply alot of the time , in the original lfg system , the new one has become over run , with keyboard courage .

I hate taking short cuts but i take them if the group does , i hate using exploits , but i will use them if the group insists , i try to be a team player .

Now , tank rouges are different . A little more squishy , than say a warrior or a cleric tank . However we have more HPs than the other two , and the spell and damage mitigation are decent . their biggest downfall is holding aoe aggro , especially , VS large crit damage or the inquisicar heals damage build that has a massive ammount of threat from both heals and DPS .

So when a group get a rouge tank playing a little defensively helps .

I was recently in ap , on the first boss the necors pet kept getting the vacuum dot and i kept eating the boss emoted single shot death bolt . Now when i say eating it though . it didn't kill me . so when i say im not squishy i have that to fall back on .

On the second boss they wanted to use the tree stump trick , but wouldn't break crystals , i suggested tanking him in the cave . For those who don't know this method he tends to only crystal the tank then you just break him out and DPS per normal

except again they just left me in the crystal , except one guy , Bully i don't remember what server he was from but nice enough .

we have some juggling aggro , because as i said before we seem to be focused on getting through this in record time . and well rouge tanks aren't really built for that .

so i mae the best of it , take the shortcuts , when asked . and exploits when voted on , but we wipoe 4 times on the last guy , and each time im the last man standing ..... i lost aggro twice in the total 8 pulls we did but that i feel was due to the demand i move around with the boss .

So finally i say , you know guys this is a heals fight not a dps race if the support guy wants to go group heals we will have this ..... the response from them is i am tanking him wrong and taking to much damage . i say well i am the last man standing how is this the problem ...... 7 out of 8 pulls im the last man standing . me and the healer

now i look at my parser , after i leave this fail team of rage typists , and the log shows me something very awesome .....

In every pull these scholars are leaving the guys Damage shield up and that's why they are dying , no aoe heals and the damage shield is still up .....


i write this now because until this night i loved tanking . its fun . and i like meeting new people , thats fun too . But their rage got to me , and i thought these 3 guys have got to be right . until i looked back and found that little gem i my ACT log

78 percent of the damage the boss did was from his reflection shield .

which leads us to this morale . now matter how bad things get , don't let morons steal your love of your game . be diligent in your efforts and let them cry themselves to sleep at night . but at the end of the day play for you , don't quit for them .

However Salem and Des from this same guild were Awesome , thanks for making a less than tolerable tank almost bearable .

Rule broken , i still feel good about it , the morale here is , there is no reason to be a bully , you never know who is on the other end .
